Burning Uke Event Branding

“This looks fabulous!!!!”

Kathleen Middleton, Committee President

What Was Done

Burning Uke is an annual get-together for ukulele players and enthusiasts around the San Franciso Bay area. The theme for 2019 was “Hooray For Hollywood”.

Working closely with the Burning Uke committee, I designed and branded their 2019 website, a page layout design for the Schedule of Events saddle stitch booklet, and iconic logos which were printed on t-shirts, socks, and stickers, and embroidered on hats which were all sold at the event.

The Burning Uke committee requested using two separate shopping cart systems. 3Dcart.com—which was already in place from previous years, was used for purchasing accommodation tickets. I set up Shopify so that t-shirts and other festival swag could be purchased using Printful—an app that integrates with Shopify. Printful is an online drop shipping and custom print fulfillment service which provided the t-shirts, hats, and socks.

The whole design and branding experience for Burning Uke was very enjoyable (ukulele players are fun and easy-going people). I also acquired a new set of skills by immersing myself in all of the different drop shipping and custom print fulfillment services available on Shopify.
