What Was Done
This was a big project. Working closely with the writing and editing team at ToucanEd, Inc. on the Infection Prevention Lessons for Teens, I designed many components for this health education lesson campaign.
Scope of work:
- page layout design for lessons, activity pages, fact sheets, and teacher background pages
- binder cover and spine design
- distinct icon designs
- posters and pamphlets layout design
- original cartoon illustrations
- Keynote presentations
- video and audio editing
I also designed the same components for the lower grade levels, Infection Prevention Lesson for Children.
Why It Was Done
The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the importance of education about effective ways to help stop the spread of germs. Topics include: pathogens/germs, infection, how germs are spread, and methods of prevention. This module contains three lessons appropriate for adolescents/middle school students and three lessons appropriate for teens/high school students. Every lesson has distance learning adaptations including narrated PowerPoint presentations. Digital downloads for activity sheets, fact sheets, and Keynote presentations, and a short movie are part of the kit.
