What Was Done
I helped conceptualize, write, and design the popular Vaping Facts and Vaping Cessation Campaigns for ToucanEd Inc. These posters, pamphlets, frame-by-frame animations, and resource cards became a very large in-demand resource of information for many schools and clinics. Many distributors, such as School Health, School Nurse, and MacGill School Nurse Supplies picked up on the design and sell them nation wide. The San Diego County Office of Education had the posters and cessation cards customized for their counties which included local information on where to seek cessation help.
I also conceptualized and created short frame-by-frame animations for San Luis Obispo County Office of Education to help engage teens to learn about the danger associated with vaping on their Live Vape Free website.
Scope of work:
- Poster conceptualization and design
- Frame-by-frame animation
- Copywriting
- Photo manipulation/editing
- Pamphlet page layout
- Bi-fold resource card layout
- Icon design
- Printer facilitation
Why It Was Done
The vaping craze has hooked adults, teens, and even pre-teens. Many are ready to STOP vaping, so ToucanEd and I created this Vaping Facts and Vaping Cessation Campaigns to help them find cessation support and information. The campaign encourages them to get started to succeed in getting out of the haze.
There were two main campaigns that were worked on; Vaping Facts and Vaping Cessation. Vaping Facts posters provide vaping facts from the CDC to help discourage use. The Vaping Facts pamphlets—as well as the Vaping Cessation posters and Vaping Cessation resource cards, provide CDC and FDA facts, phone numbers, apps, websites, and texts that offer motivational incentives and help including support for cravings and slips, coaching, connections to groups, phone and online assistance.
